BAD DAY AT WORK...

Going through social media, seeing images of different people looking cheerful and fulfilled would get you thinking ‘what am I doing wrong’? Especially when it looks like all your efforts are not appreciated no matter how big you think it is.

The truth is, everyone has his/her bad days. The question is, how do they survive the endless boss’ expectations with little or no motivation for initial sacrifices made. If you truly give in your bestπŸ˜‰.

People react and respond differently to emotional and mental stress ( notable work related stress). Breath in, think deep and make a mental note of what takes your mind off annoying people, things and spirit πŸ˜›.

Personally, I go for two things; my novel and my phone, with focus on certain entertaining blogs, social platforms and photo gallery ( especially pictures detailing my sons growth). These things take my mind off  annoying scenes from the office.

I think bad days are results of not meeting up to expectations, treated less than desired and given unimaginable tasks. The best way to come out of the cloudy day is to determine to beat up all expectations. Prove to that boss that he/she will not survive without you.

Make yourself the missing piece that cannot be substituted especially to get the puzzle box fixed.

  1. I think bad bosses are a mental cause of mental stress in Nigeria. I definitely agree that focusing on what makes you happy is a great way to overcome a bad day

  3. If my everyday is bad, then there are things I need to fix. Change of environment/unit, a talk with senior colleagues or a break.

  4. Bad bosses are the worst. Even when you complete a task perfectly, they'll still look for the tiniest mistake to use and totally discredit your work. Meanwhile that same work will earn them millions. It's really crazy what bosses are doing and the sad thing is no one can regulate them. I understand that you have to make yourself happy and all that but you can't really escape from the toll a bad working (or any other) environment takes on you. Let me stop here so I won't write a whole blog post in the commentsπŸ˜…

  6. Living to impress people is the first major sign of low self esteem... Do ur very best and move on.. #Mind u, u can't impress who doesn't want to be. Mental health is paramount over a job where one will b replaced if he/she drops dead. Febson ✌

  7. Above it all inner peace does the magic for me. Never loose in pursuit of a boss' acceptance.

  10. Most Nigerian Jobs and Employers put a huge Mental and Emotional strain on Employees.

I don't get the need to belittle and rubbish a person's efforts.

The best way to cope is have a strong sense of self worth.
