BIRTH SCARS
I just stepped out of the restroom, gisting, smiling while trying to fix my jean trouser and the next thing I heard was ‘why is your tummy like that’? I would have simply laughed it off or pretended not to have heard but something tugged at my heart. I felt pained. Maybe because I expected better from a fellow mother or a woman, but then, women’s problems are women themselves. I was about to explain when I was cut by another statement of how she has two kids and her tummy not as wrinkled as mine.π While trying to come up with excuses and justifications about my wrinkled stomach, I realized it wasn’t worth the stress of overthinking it. One, her two kids probably weighed lesser than mine, two, I survived the journey, yes, it was really a journey and most importantly I’m hoping to get more wrinkles.
